GreenLeaf started in 2011 with one mini-digger, a tipper and a stubborn refusal to skip the sub-base. That's still the rule: every patio and deck we lay sits on a properly compacted, drainage-correct foundation, even the bits nobody ever sees.

Ell runs the design side from the kitchen table in Widcombe, and Sam leads the groundworks crew. Between them they've been laying paving around Bath for over two decades, and they'll both tell you the honest answer when a patio needs a drain rather than just more slabs.
