Terms of Service

Straightforward terms for your TradieSites website: what we provide, what you pay, and what happens if you leave.

1. Who we are & this agreement

TradieSites is the website and growth service provided by Tradie Sites, based at 36 Swaines Way, Heathfield, TN21 0AL. These terms apply when you order our services. Please read them before paying and keep a copy for your records.

Our core service is intended for UK tradespeople buying a website for their business. Any separately agreed written quote sets out the scope of additional work. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

2. What's included

The core plan costs £75 for one-off website setup, plus £15 per month for the ongoing service. It includes:

  • A bespoke four-page website: Home, About, Services, and Get a Quote / Contact, with mobile-first design.
  • A direct quote request form and click-to-call phone buttons.
  • Website hosting and an SSL certificate, plus routine hosting management.
  • A free available .co.uk domain, registered and renewed automatically through 20i while your subscription remains active, or connection of your existing domain.
  • A professional business email address managed through 20i, with smartphone setup guidance or forwarding to your existing email.
  • Domain, DNS and email management, and minor text and image updates.

Domain choices depend on availability and registry rules. Premium domains, other domain extensions, additional pages, major redesigns and new functionality are outside the core plan and require a separate agreed quote. Optional growth services and £50 one-off logo design are never added without your agreement.

3. Prices & payments

The £75 setup fee is a one-off charge. The £15 ongoing fee is a monthly rolling subscription, not a fixed long-term contract. Stripe securely processes payments and recurring billing. Checkout shows the amount payable and your subscription billing details before you confirm; your payment confirmation records the applicable billing dates.

By completing checkout, you authorise Stripe to collect the agreed recurring subscription charges until the subscription ends. We do not receive or store your full card number or security code.

Keep your payment method and contact details up to date. If a payment fails, we may ask you to update your payment method. If fees remain unpaid after notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue, we may suspend the service, which can affect your website, email and domain renewal. Contact us promptly if you need help.

Any price change will be communicated at least 30 days before it takes effect, giving you the opportunity to cancel. Additional work or services will be priced and agreed separately before we proceed.

4. Your website's turnaround

Our standard turnaround is 3 working days from receiving your completed onboarding details and the required logo, photos and other assets, with payment confirmed. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England.

Missing details, delayed approvals, changes to the agreed scope, or third-party domain and email issues may extend the timeline. We will tell you if this happens. We show you a preview for approval before launch and arrange connection of your domain. Existing-domain changes are planned to avoid downtime, although third-party DNS propagation is outside our control.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Supply accurate business, contact and service details, and let us know when they change.
  • Only provide photos, logos, reviews and other material you own or have permission to use. Obtain permission from identifiable people in photos where required.
  • Verify and keep current all qualifications, insurance, registrations and accreditations you ask us to publish, including Gas Safe and NICEIC credentials. We do not certify your trade work or independently guarantee your credentials.
  • Check the preview, prices, service claims and contact details before approving launch. Tell us promptly about mistakes.
  • Keep account access secure and use the website and email lawfully. Do not use our services for spam, fraud, unlawful content or infringing material.

You remain responsible for your business's legal notices, customer data and trade-specific regulatory obligations. We may decline or remove unlawful or infringing material and will explain the reason where appropriate.

6. Updates & fair use

Minor text and image updates to existing pages are included: for example, changing your contact details, replacing job photos or adjusting service descriptions. You can request these by email or WhatsApp after signup. There is no per-edit charge for these basic changes.

Major redesigns, additional pages, extensive copywriting, new integrations and new feature builds are not minor updates. We will quote for these separately and only proceed once you agree. For unusually large batches of basic updates, we will agree a practical schedule rather than apply an unexpected fee.

7. Ownership & domains

You own your domain name, branding, and the original photos, text and other content you supply. We manage your domain on your behalf; using our service does not transfer your domain ownership to us. Your paid-for original website content is yours too.

Third-party fonts, stock photography, software and other licensed materials remain subject to their owners' licences. Ownership of your content does not mean you own those third-party tools or that every hosted feature can run unchanged on another provider.

The included .co.uk domain is renewed automatically while your paid subscription is active. If you already own a domain, you retain ownership and we arrange its connection. Please provide access or cooperate with your existing provider where needed.

8. Cancellation & handover

There is no long-term lock-in. Give us 30 days' notice by emailing info@tradiesites.co.uk with your business name and domain. We will confirm the service end date and any final billing. Monthly charges remain payable during the notice period; we will not renew the subscription after the agreed end date.

You may transfer your domain to another provider at any time, including when you cancel. A standard one-off £25 domain handover fee applies when we arrange the transfer away. This is for the domain handover, not a general cancellation fee. Your new provider's ongoing domain, email and hosting charges are separate.

If you do not want to keep the domain, you can ask us to retire it instead, with no handover fee. A retired domain will not be renewed and may eventually become available for someone else to register.

Your domain, branding and content remain yours when you leave. Ask us for a copy of your content and arrange any domain transfer and email backup before the service end date. Hosting and business email management stop when the service ends; email messages and live website functionality do not automatically transfer with a domain. We will explain the practical handover steps. Moving or rebuilding the website on a different platform is not included in the domain handover fee and, if requested, will be quoted separately.

9. Refunds & statutory rights

The setup fee pays for the design and setup work, rather than a refundable deposit. If you cancel before work begins, contact us to arrange a refund of setup work not carried out. Once work has begun, any refund will take account of work completed and any legal entitlement. Monthly charges cover the ongoing service; cancellation does not normally refund an already supplied billing period.

If we cannot deliver the agreed service, we will discuss a remedy or an appropriate refund. Nothing in these terms excludes your statutory rights. If you are legally a consumer rather than a business customer, any applicable 14-day distance-contract cancellation right and rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain in place. Starting work within that period requires any consent required by law; these terms alone do not waive those rights.

10. Availability & liability

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill and aim to keep your website and email available. Maintenance, internet failures and issues with hosting, registries or other providers can cause interruptions. We cannot promise uninterrupted availability or guaranteed search rankings, enquiries or sales.

Please retain copies of your original assets and important email. Notify us promptly if something is not working. We are responsible for losses caused by our breach where required by law, but not for losses caused by inaccurate client information, unlawful client content or events outside our reasonable control.

For business customers, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost profit, and our total liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This does not limit liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot legally be excluded. It does not override statutory consumer rights.

11. Changes & governing law

We may update these terms to reflect service or legal changes. Material changes affecting existing customers will be notified at least 30 days in advance, unless a legal requirement needs an earlier change. Updates do not retrospectively change work already agreed. You can cancel if you do not accept a future material change.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Business disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory protection and right to bring proceedings in the courts of their home jurisdiction within the UK.

12. Contact & complaints

For questions, cancellation notices, billing queries or complaints, contact us using the details below. We will acknowledge your complaint and work with you to resolve it.
